Komodo’s Conservation

Komodo island is the new 7 wonders of the world where it is free for komodo to live in.
Komodo belongs to animals which are protected as they are varnished.
There are approximately five thousand of komodo which live in this world in separated places. Those numbers of komodo live in different places in Indonesia.
In Komodo island, there are 1.700 komodo live in. Over 2000 komodo live in Flores and there are 1.300 komodo in Rinca.
Gili Motang and Gili Dasami have 100 komodo at each place. From those numbers, it is thought that there are only 350 female komodo.
This case forces Indonesian government to build a Komodo National Park in order to preserve komodo in Komodo island.
As there are over 2000 inhabitants who live in Komodo, komodo tend to get used to live with humans.
However, humans in Komodo island have adapted well by having such stilts for their houses.
There was a case where a eight-year-old boy dies because of the bite of komodo.
